Isuzu D-Max
(MY21 – Current)
Launched in Australia in mid-2020, the Isuzu D-Max (MY21–current) is available in a wide range of grades, including SX, LS-M, LS-U, LS-U+, X-Terrain, and Blade. Engine options include Isuzu’s proven 3.0-litre turbo-diesel paired with either manual or automatic transmissions, across both 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrains.
In 2024, Isuzu expanded the D-Max range with the introduction of a 1.9-litre turbo-diesel engine on selected grades, offering improved fuel efficiency and a more accessible entry point while retaining the D-Max’s renowned reliability.
The D-Max received an update in 2024, featuring refreshed styling, upgraded technology, and the addition of new variants to further enhance on-road comfort, safety, and off-road capability.
Built for work, touring, and adventure, the Isuzu D-Max offers a versatile tub and cabin layout with ample space for tools, luggage, and touring gear. Its practical design easily accommodates a chest fridge and fridge slide setup under a canopy, making it an ideal platform for towing, off-road travel, and long-distance touring.

Australia’s most trusted Towing Mirrors for the Isuzu D-Max
With a towing capacity of up to 3,500 kg (model dependent), the Isuzu D-Max is built for work, touring, and heavy-duty towing. Whether you’re hauling a trailer, caravan, or horse float, Clearview Towing Mirrors provide improved rearward visibility, enhanced safety, and greater confidence on every journey. Always check your owner’s manual to confirm your vehicle’s specific towing limits before setting off.
Clearview offers two mirror styles for the D-Max: Next Gen and Compact. Both are engineered for everyday driving as well as towing tasks, providing durable, weather-resistant construction suited to Australian conditions and a secure, seamless fit for your vehicle.
With Clearview Towing Mirrors, you’ll enjoy unobstructed views of your trailer and surrounding traffic, helping you tow safely and confidently on highways, country roads, and off-road adventures alike.
Extendable Mirror styles available for the D-Max
Compact Tow Mirrors
Our Compact Towing Mirrors are just like an OE Mirror, with the additional advantage of the extra visibility that our towing mirror extension provides.
A large convex single mirror reduces the objects that it reflects, allowing the driver to have a much wider field view and diminishing blind spots.

Next Gen Tow Mirrors
Our Next Gen and its twin mirror design is suitable for towing anything from the smallest of trailers to the largest of vans.
The Next Gen’s dual mirror design provides the best of both worlds; a large flat top mirror helps with reversing into parking spaces or aligning a hitch with a trailer, and the smaller convex mirror provides a better understanding of what’s happening around the vehicle.

Do I need Towing Mirrors for my Isuzu D-Max?
Whenever you tow a trailer, caravan, boat, or horse float, extra towing mirrors aren’t just a safety upgrade—they’re often required by law. Australian road rules state that if your load extends beyond the width of your standard mirrors, you must fit mirrors that give a clear view along the sides of your vehicle. Clearview Towing Mirrors improve side visibility, reduce blind spots, and make lane changes, reversing, and cornering safer. Even for occasional towing, they’re an essential addition to any D-Max.
Do Clearview Mirrors Void my D-Max Warranty?
Nope! Clearview Towing Mirrors are a licensed and approved Isuzu accessory. Developed and tested in collaboration with Isuzu to deliver you the best outcome, Installation of Clearview Mirrors will not void your factory warranty.
Mirror features for the D-Max include:

Blind Spot Monitoring – This feature is operated through ultrasonic or radar sensors on the vehicle’s rear and side. A small indication light will appear to alert you when another vehicle is within your blind spot. There may also be a beeping/audible alert, or the steering wheel may induce vibration, or a light shake will occur.
Power-fold – A quick press of the Power-Fold button brings your Clearview Tow Mirrors in towards the vehicle, while another press returns them to position. The Power-Fold function matches your OE capability, allowing control through the key fob, touch-handle panel, interior button, and certain automatic actions depending on the vehicle. Only suitable for vehicles with factory power-fold. Vehicle-specific variations apply.
Indicators – Lights located on the side of the Mirror that will flash to signal your intentions to swap lanes or turn. Our Tow Mirrors include a clear indicator lens with an amber LED light. Indicators in all manufactured mirrors come with a CAT5 indicator as standard.
Electric Mirror Glass Adjustment – Electrical Vertical and Horizontal adjustments to suit your preferred driving angles. Clearview supports this feature throughout our range. Single Mirror models can offer electric adjustments of the mirror. The double mirror models can only offer top glass mirror electric adjustments, the lower bottom glass is a manual adjustment.
Heat – A feature that demists and defogs your mirror glass when it’s frosty and icy. Operating off the same de-misting system as your vehicle.
All these features are only available for those vehicles that contain these pre-existing features such as Blind Spot Monitoring, Power-Fold, Indicators, Electric Mirror Glass Adjustment, and Heat. The Mirror alone cannot add new functionality to the vehicle.
Clearview Mirrors Extension Range Explained:

Both Clearview Next Gen and Compact Mirrors extend up to 180 mm, giving you improved side visibility when towing. Each mirror features three adjustable driving positions:
-
Standard / Non-Extended Position – sits flush with your vehicle for everyday driving, maintaining a sleek, unobtrusive look.
-
First Extended Position – a moderate extension, ideal for towing smaller trailers or caravans, providing extra side coverage without feeling too wide.
-
Second Extended Position – the full 180 mm extension, perfect for larger loads, horse floats, or whenever maximum side visibility is needed.
The mirrors are easy to adjust manually — simply slide them out by hand to switch between positions in seconds. Both styles are designed to stay securely in place once extended, ensuring stability even at highway speeds.
The Next Gen mirrors feature a taller mirror head, making them ideal for frequent towing or heavier loads. The Compact mirrors offer a lower-profile option, providing extra side visibility while keeping the original mirror’s tidy appearance for daily driving.
How to tell if your Isuzu D-Max has Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM)
Look for the Blind Spot Monitoring indicator—usually a small icon on the side mirrors that lights up when a vehicle is detected in your blind spot. You can also check your vehicle’s infotainment system or settings menu, or refer to your owner’s manual to confirm if your MU‑X is equipped with BSM.
